There are few combinations we love more than books and stationery.
That feeling of stepping into a little independent bookshop, finding shelves crammed with books, spotting handwritten notes and recommendations tucked between them, and inevitably leaving with something you hadn't planned to buy... That was the inspiration behind our latest Rowan Berry Box: Cosy Bookshop.
The artwork for this collection is filled with all the little details we'd hope to find in our dream bookshop: stacks of well-loved books, ink bottles and quills, handwritten letters, cups of tea, candles, vintage clocks and, of course, a resident bookshop cat!
And we turned those illustrations into a collection made for writing, journalling, scrapbooking, letter writing and reading.

Two Pilot V5 0.5mm Rollerball Pens
Every good stationery collection needs a really good pen, so this month you actually got two.
The Pilot V5 0.5mm Rollerball is a classic for a reason. Its fine tip lays down smooth, consistent and densely coloured liquid ink, making it lovely for everyday writing, journalling, letter writing and filling notebook pages.
Five A6 Cosy Bookshop Postcards
Next up were five A6 postcards, each featuring a different design from our Cosy Bookshop collection.
These have been printed on beautiful 300gsm laid paper, which has a subtle textured finish that works particularly well with the vintage, bookish feel of the artwork.
Send them to fellow book lovers, use them for little notes and letters, display your favourite or add them to your journal.
Four Sheets of Scrapbook Paper
This box was definitely designed with journallers in mind. We included four sheets of collage paper, printed for us in Northumberland on 120gsm laid paper.
Cut them up, tear the edges, layer different designs together, use them as backgrounds or combine them with the stickers and washi from the box to create your own Cosy Bookshop journal spreads.
They're also lovely for scrapbooking, card making, happy mail and other paper crafts.
Two Japanese Washi Paper Sticker Sheets
We couldn't have all those tiny bookshop illustrations and not turn them into stickers!
Inside the box were two kiss-cut sticker sheets printed on Japanese washi paper.
The slightly lovely papery finish of washi makes these particularly lovely for journalling because they blend beautifully into the page rather than looking like a glossy sticker sitting on top.
Use them alongside the scrapbook papers, decorate letters and envelopes or add a tiny stack of books/bookshop cat wherever one is clearly required.
Exclusive Cosy Bookshop Washi Tape
And, of course, there's the washi. Each box included a 15mm-wide roll of washi tape, printed especially for this Rowan Berry Box on Japanese washi paper.
The design coordinates with the rest of the Cosy Bookshop collection, so you can use everything together to create beautifully layered journal and scrapbook pages.
It's also perfect for decorating notebooks, adding borders, sticking down photographs and ephemera or marking favourite pages.

We couldn't make a box inspired by bookshops without including something for your actual books. So the final addition was our Cosy Bookshop bookmark!
Use it to keep your place in your current read and hopefully prevent any more receipts, scraps of paper and mysteriously acquired Post-it notes from having to do the job.
A simple addition, but possibly the most essential piece of stationery for any book lover.
