There is something about the arrival of Autumn that makes us reach for our notebooks, journals, scrapbooks... and a cup of tea!
We love Autumn. The changing colours, the darker evenings, the first sign of crunchy leaves... so we took inspiration from the best parts of the season and made them into a box of stationery!!
The beautiful artwork in this box features autumn leaves, twigs, mushrooms and toadstools, brought together in warm earthy shades that we carried throughout the stationery inside. Illustrated by Khrystsina at Satika Art.
And this box isn't just about looking pretty, we filled it with some brilliant stationery for writing, highlighting, journalling, scrapbooking and getting creative with paper.

Zebra Sarasa Vintage Gel Pen
We couldn't create an autumn stationery box without choosing a suitably autumnal pen! The Zebra Sarasa Vintage Gel Pen takes everything we love about the classic Sarasa - particularly that wonderfully smooth gel ink - and gives it a more muted, sophisticated colour palette.
Zebra Mildliner
Another Japanese stationery favourite made its way into the box - the Zebra Mildliner.
These iconic double-ended highlighters have become a staple in pencil cases around the world and for good reason. Rather than a super bright neon shade of traditional highlighters, Mildliner uses softer colours that still draw attention to important information without completely taking over the page. With two tips in one pen, it's useful for everything from highlighting and underlining to adding colour to journal pages, planners and study notes.
Papers, Vellum & Copper Envelopes
We wanted to include something in this box that gave you plenty of possibilities when creating your own pages, letters and paper projects.
So we put together a collection of:
- Two plant-based vellum sheets
- Eight double-sided recycled A5 papers
- Copper envelopes
Use the papers as backgrounds for journal spreads, cut them up for collage and scrapbooking, layer the translucent vellum over other designs or sit down and write an actual letter to someone.
The copper envelopes tie everything together beautifully and bring another warm autumnal detail to the collection.
There's no prescribed way to use any of it, they're there to cut, stick, layer, write on and experiment with.
Our First Clear Sticker Sheets!
We tried something new for Autumn Leaves... Clear stickers!
Rather than being printed onto an opaque background, these stickers allow the colour or pattern underneath to show through.
That makes them particularly good for scrapbooking and journalling on coloured or patterned paper, where the illustrations can become part of the page rather than sitting on top of it with a visible border.
Featuring elements from our Autumn Leaves artwork, they're perfect for layering amongst papers, photographs, handwritten notes and other pieces of ephemera.

Autumn Leaves Washi Tape
And, of course, it wouldn't be a Rowan Berry Box without washi tape.
This 15mm-wide roll was printed especially for the Autumn Leaves box on Japanese washi paper, featuring artwork created to coordinate with the rest of the collection.
Use it to decorate journal pages, stick down photos and little paper treasures, create borders, add tabs to notebooks or simply put it somewhere because the page looked like it needed a bit more washi. We support this approach.
A Box Made for Autumn Journalling
One of our favourite things about putting together the Rowan Berry Box is finding a balance between beautiful stationery and things you'll genuinely want to use.
For Autumn Leaves, that meant combining some of our favourite Japanese stationery from Zebra with exclusive Rowan Berry Box designs and plenty of paper supplies to experiment with.
Whether you use everything together to create an autumn journal spread or scatter the contents between your pencil case, planner, letters and notebooks, we hope this box gave you an excuse to spend a little more time creating this season.
